Baptist Health South Florida Joins the Cardiometabolic Center Alliance as a Charter Member

Kansas City, Missouri and Miami, Florida – The Cardiometabolic Center Alliance (CMCA), founded by Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute, is honored to announce the addition of Baptist Health South Florida as a Charter Member.
As a coalition that seeks to establish Cardiometabolic Centers of Excellence nationwide aimed at transforming the treatment of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and related cardiovascular (CV) and renal comorbidities, the CMCA considers Baptist Health South Florida’s renowned reputation for world-class centers of excellence and a high quality, compassionate and family-centered approach to healthcare as a key member of the Alliance.

The Cardiometabolic Center Alliance is a national collaborative of healthcare organizations committed to helping patients better manage their conditions for a better quality of life and helping to ease the burden on health care organizations. Across its aligned member sites, care will be delivered via a standardized, patient-centered, team-based, comprehensive risk reduction approach based on a novel care model designed and successfully implemented by Saint Luke’s Michael & Marlys Haverty Cardiometabolic Center of Excellence in Kansas City, MO. The overarching goals of the CMCA and its members include: improving the quality of care and outcomes for patients with cardiometabolic disease, creating platforms for real world evidence generation and clinical trials, as well as producing tangible benefits to healthcare organizations in a value-based model of care delivery.
